THE YUNGAY NEIGHBORHOOD OF SANTIAGO HAS A BRAND NEW COMMUNITY CENTRE IN THE PALACIO ALAMOS

Kalam’s professionals have restored the Palacio Alamos, a clear example of eclecticism, combining classicism, Art Nouveau and Beaux Arts styles.  The building, designed by the architects Alberto Álamos and Humberto Bravi at the beginning of the twentieth century, has recovered its original beauty.

The work has focused on the restoration of the entire interior, recovering distributions, cladding, carpentry and the space’s ornamental elements, including the beautiful stained-glass windows of the main staircase and the open terraces on the top floor, with its beautiful views of the city.  The work was completed with the restoration of its enclosures. The original image of the building has been respected, greatly distorted by earthquakes and previous work, with all current work being carried out by the company’s team of master craftsmen in Chile
