Kalam is a construction company with top ratings, given by the Spanish State for public tenders, for building renovation and restoration and the conservation of Cultural Heritage. During our 30 years in business, we have accomplished recognized and awarded restorations, by experts and managers specialized in architectural heritage; such as the interventions in the cathedrals of Sigüenza, Santiago de Compostela, Coria (Cáceres), Cuenca, Plasencia, Tudela, Almería, Cádiz or Sevilla. In addition to that, we have continuously worked for various church dioceses and provided our services  to the most remarkable companies in the insurance industry, that only entrust the value of their properties to the utmost qualified companies that can guarantee the best results.

From our beginnings it has been a priority to have a roster for the company comprised of highly qualified and trusted professionals: Fine Arts graduates, restorers, teachers of traditional building trades specializing in the work of lead, zinc, wood, and the reproduction of architectural items, mortar coverings, etc., led by highly trained and experienced technicians.

We have updated our landmarks buildings at the national level, through public tenders; comprehensive rehabilitations due to changes in use or unfavorable building inspections (ITEs). It is worth noting, our interventions within the historic districts of Madrid, Barcelona, Segovia and Toledo,

We have intervened in more than thirty monuments within World Heritage Sites

At the international level, with our registered office in Chile, we have an operating unit with equipment and our own workshop to provide construction service to Latin American countries where we are not located. We are currently restoring, among others, the Palace Álamos and Cousiño in Santiago and the Palace Rioja in Viña del Mar, and in Cuba, the former Palace of Velasco-Sarrá, current Embassy of Spain in Havana.  We are working on the Cathedral of Santo Domingo for the Archbishopric and the Government of the Dominican Republic, and we have launched other projects through the Kalam Karibe company, owned by Kalam in its entirety, which allows us to effectively cover the logistics, materials and specialized methods in restoration interventions in the countries of the region. In France we have worked on the Palace of Versailles, Castles of Saumur or Chenonceau; or Cathédrale Notre Dame de Basse Terre à Guadeloupe in Guadeloupe, near La Martinique.

KALAM, within the framework of the ICEX Next Program, has received support from ICEX and co-financing from the European Regional Development Fund. The purpose of this support is to contribute to the international development of the company.
