KALAM JOINS AS A MEMBER OF THE BOARD OF DIRECTORS AFFILIATED TO THE UNWTO
On 18 July KALAM was elected to the Board of Affiliate Members of the World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) for the period 2019-2021. A position from which we will work for all those who make up this large group, with more than 550 members worldwide, to whom we are grateful for the support received during the electoral process.
Our company puts at their service its valuable experience acquired within numerous processes of recovery of architectural and historical-artistic heritage, in complexes and urban centres such as those of Madrid, Barcelona, Toledo, Segovia, Seville, Havana, Santo Domingo, Santiago de Chile, Valparaiso or Viña del Mar through participation in the development of complex instruments such as Master, Strategic or Management Plans. For years, we have been turning the knowledge accumulated over more than three decades into consolidated and developing tourist destinations in Europe, Latin America, and Western and Central Asia.
The team that will lead the relationships and obligations assumed as part of the Board of Directors is composed of Ramon Mayo, President of Kalam, and Llanos Gómez, Director of Project Development, who will channel the technical contributions of the Kalam team.
Among the activities derived from our commitment to UNWTO, we have recently participated in the 23rd edition of its General Assembly in St. Petersburg, focused on topics such as “Education and employment in tourism” or “Innovation and sustainable tourism” attended by delegates from more than 150 countries from the fields of government, academia, associations and NGOs or business. Within this framework, the Board of Directors has been formally constituted electing as its president FITUR, Madrid International Tourism Fair and as Vice-Presidents George Washington University and Chamaleon Estrategies.
