NEW CALL FOR ENTRIES FOR THE RICHARD H. DRIEHAUS ARTS AWARDS 2020
Once again, the deadline for submissions for a new edition of the Richard H. Driehaus Construction Arts Awards in Spain is now open. Candidates are eligible for an award of 10,000 euros and a commemorative plaque and may submit applications until 4 March 2020.
This award recognizes the work of those masters who specialize in the different trades of traditional construction, promoting awareness of the importance of their preservation and continuity, key aspects for the proper conservation of our historic buildings.

KALAM recognizes the values that this event encourages through the significance and importance of the preservation of works such as masonry and stonework, carpentry, traditional coating finishes or forging and glasswork. Traditional craftsmanship in which our staff has a wide and solvent experience and which we transmit through training and education in our program of the School of Craftsmanship of KALAM, EOAK.
INTBAU (International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture and Urbanism) announces this award annually thanks to the support of The Richard H. Driehaus Charitable Lead Trust, and has the collaboration of KALAM, among other entities and cultural activities, through the EKABA Foundation. Through the latter institution, we also support recognized initiatives associated with INTBAU and the philanthropic work of Richard H. Driehaus, such as the Rafael Manzano Prize and the Summer Schools on Traditional Architecture, contributing to the dissemination of knowledge on the implementation of the restoration and rehabilitation of cultural heritage.
