Hotel, House of the Count Bugallal, Madrid, Spain


In 1913 Antonio Palacios was commissioned by the Count of Bugallal to design this mansion located in Madrid’s museum mile, at Plaza de Neptuno. Known as the South America building, because of the work that Bernardo Giner de los Ríos carried out to accommodate the offices of this company, it was remodeled for a new use as a Hotel. Kalam carried out the restoration of its main and courtyard facade and square tower.
