Restoration of the facade of this building housing different hotel companies, located in one of the city ‘s busiest areas at the corner of Gran Vía and Montera Street and facing the commercial Fuencarral Street. We applied a traditional stucco coating, with a float, bush hammer or rusticated finish, following the building’s original composition. The ornamental elements that had been damaged in previous interventions, such as corbels, balustrades and missing balusters, were restored with the elaboration of casts in our workshops, and areas with less deterioration were repaired by patching and pinning with rods and epoxy resins. We scraped, primed and painted all woodwork, railings and ornaments. The scope of work was completed with the installation of zinc flashings on water tables and ornamental elements, in addition to pigeon protectors to improve the maintenance of the facade. It is worth emphasizing our compliance with the very short deadline, in a period of maximum commercial activity due to the Christmas season.
