2024, a look at some of our projects
As we bid farewell to 2024, the KALAM team reflects on a year filled with remarkable projects, including iconic interventions such as the restoration of the façades of La Giralda in Seville, winner of the 2024 Hispania Nostra Award, and the rehabilitation and restoration of Casa del Labrador at the Royal Palace of Aranjuez, also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. These are just two of the many comprehensive restoration and rehabilitation projects we have completed in Spain, Portugal, France, and the United States.
Highlights of the year include the transformation of the former San Juan Bautista Asylum into the new campus for the European University in Valencia, the rehabilitation of a residential building located at the renowned Rossio Square 85 in the heart of Lisbon, the restoration of the Royal Thai Pavilion at Madison’s Botanical Garden in Wisconsin, and the terracotta and stone façades of the Porcelanosa flagship store in Manhattan.
We continue to work on other specialized and high-profile projects in historic city centers such as Madrid, Seville, Bilbao, Barcelona, Valencia, and Lisbon. These include protected buildings, residential properties, educational spaces, commercial facilities, and office spaces—such as the iconic building at Paseo de Gracia 11 in Barcelona for Generali—and hospitality venues, like the restoration at the Parador de Carmona, enhancing the conservation and appreciation of its parade ground and the preservation of its walls and surrounding areas.
Looking ahead, we are committed to making 2025 a year of sustainable growth, staying true to our mission of excellence in every project. Our team will continue to dedicate their expertise and passion to every new opportunity.
We wish you happy holidays
