2025, a journey through our work
As we come to the end of 2025, KALAM reflects on a year in which we have contributed to the conservation and rehabilitation of buildings of high architectural and heritage value, supported by a reputation built over time through highly complex technical interventions, both in Spain and internationally.
Throughout 2025, we have continued our work at Seville Cathedral, carrying out interventions in the north transept, the dome vault and the cathedral roofs, among other works. At the Cathedral-Basilica of Our Lady of the Pillar in Zaragoza, we have completed the restoration of the two towers overlooking the Plaza del Pilar, as well as the restoration of the Chapel of Saint Joachim.
We have also undertaken comprehensive rehabilitation projects in protected and landmark buildings, adapted to hotel, residential, commercial and office uses, supporting the revitalisation of historic city centres such as Madrid, Barcelona, Seville, Valencia or Bilbao.
Internationally, 2025 has also been a particularly significant year. From our offices in New York and Miami, we have carried out various interventions in the heart of Manhattan, as well as in the states of Florida and Wisconsin. Notably, the restoration of the Royal Thai Pavilion in Madison was recognised with the American Institute of Architects (AIA) Wisconsin 2025 Award. In Chile, the Iquique Theatre reopened this year following its comprehensive restoration. Back on the Iberian Peninsula, in Portugal, we have developed distinctive rehabilitation projects in historic residential buildings in the heart of Lisbon. Closing this journey, 2025 also marked the reopening of the Casa del Labrador, at the Royal Palace of Aranjuez, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, following its full rehabilitation.
We continue to move forward guided by the commitment, experience and technical rigour that define our teams, embracing new challenges in building rehabilitation and heritage restoration.
We wish you a successful 2026 and a happy holiday season.
