Estimating Technician – Madrid | Full-time

KALAM, a company specialised in the rehabilitation of historic buildings, with interventions in numerous monuments and heritage complexes with World Heritage protection at international level, is looking to recruit Estimating Technicians (m/f/x) with experience in tendering.
Reporting to the Estimating Department Management, while actively collaborating with other members of the Tendering team, your main mission will be to prepare studies and budgets in accordance with the policies and objectives established by management, in order to ensure the quality of projects, as well as the analysis and submission of public tenders.
What would your responsibilities be?
Estimating:
- Analysis of projects, quantity take-offs and evaluation of offers.
- Preparation of budgets specialised in comprehensive building rehabilitation and restoration of facades and architectural heritage.
- Élaboration de budgets spécialisés en réhabilitation intégrale et restauration de façades et du patrimoine architectural.
Public tenders:
- Review of tender specifications.
- Analysis of the tender and participation requirements.
- Preparation of proposals and technical reports.
- Document management of tender documentation and issued proposals.
- Ability to incorporate improvements to the requested technical solutions.
- Contact suppliers to obtain quotations and prepare the project budget.
- Organisational coordination with other departments for all the information required for the submitted offers.
- Monitoring of tender processes.
Minimum requirements
- Technical education: preferably a Degree in Technical Architecture, Architecture, Building Engineering or similar.
- Desirable specialisation in construction tendering and planning.
- 2 years of experience in the described functions.
- Previous experience in public tender analysis will be highly valued.
- Advanced knowledge of software: Presto, AutoCAD, Microsoft Project.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Full proficiency in Spanish.
Preferred requirements
- Knowledge of BIM, LEAN, BREEAM, LEED will be valued.
- Advanced level of English.
- Valued: Specific training in public tendering procedures.
