KALAM supports the Hispania Nostra Award for Social Participation
KALAM has joined Hispania Nostra in the presentation of the first edition of the Award for Social Participation, an initiative that recognises the commitment of individuals, associations and groups to the protection, conservation and dissemination of cultural and natural heritage, highlighting citizen involvement as a key factor in its preservation.
The presentation of the Hispania Nostra Award for Social Participation took place in Madrid and forms part of Hispania Nostra’s 50th anniversary, marking half a century of commitment to heritage protection in Spain. With this new award, the association reinforces its focus on social participation as a fundamental pillar in heritage conservation, beyond issues of ownership or administrative responsibility.
KALAM supports this initiative as a company specialised in comprehensive building rehabilitation and heritage restoration, with nearly 40 years of experience and a long-standing commitment to the conservation and enhancement of built heritage. This support reflects a solid track record in complex rehabilitation and restoration projects, developed with professional rigour and respect for the cultural, social and architectural values of buildings.
The Hispania Nostra Award for Social Participation recognises both individual and collective initiatives that have demonstrated sustained commitment to the protection, conservation and dissemination of cultural and natural heritage. It highlights personal and collective responsibility and the essential role played by citizens in passing this legacy on to future generations. This vision is fully shared by KALAM and forms part of its approach to building rehabilitation as a technical process with strong cultural and social dimensions.
For KALAM, supporting this award reinforces a comprehensive approach to rehabilitation and restoration in which technical excellence, sustainability and social engagement are inseparable. This perspective guides the company’s daily activity and is also part of its value proposition as an organisation, offering its teams the opportunity to take part in projects with a real impact on heritage conservation and the improvement of the built environment.
In this context, KALAM has also contributed to the design of the award’s visual identity and is currently working on the creation of the piece that will be presented to the award recipients, conceived in its workshop by professionals specialising in traditional crafts.
