Masonry Specialist / Facade Restoration Specialist

At KALAM we are looking to recruit, for our projects, masonry specialists with experience in interventions on existing buildings, used to working on rehabilitation works, with facade restoration experience additionally valued.
We specialise in comprehensive building rehabilitation and architectural heritage restoration, with extensive experience in interventions on historic facades and traditional construction elements.
What will your mission be?
The selected candidate will join our projects, carrying out masonry work such as:
- Repairs and replacements on facades, courtyards and deteriorated construction elements.
- Work on roofs, terraces and waterproofing.
- Specific repairs to structural elements.
- Masonry work related to the structure (partition walls, etc.), rehabilitation (chasing, chipping, crack repair, etc.) and finishing (rendering, plastering, flooring, tiling, etc.).
In facade restoration, will work directly on tasks such as:
- Execution of traditional lime mortar renders.
- Restoration and reinstatement of volumes in cornices and decorative elements.
- Stitching and sealing of cracks.
- Repointing and repair of brick masonry.
- Repair of deteriorated facade elements.
The work will be carried out under the coordination of the Site Supervisor, ensuring quality of execution and compliance with the safety regulations typical of building rehabilitation and restoration projects.
Required profile
- Proven experience of at least 5 years in masonry work.
- Commitment to quality of execution and on-site safety.
The following will be valued:
- At least 3 years of experience in facade restoration.
- Training and/or experience in masonry, mortars, renders or traditional trades.
- Training in Occupational Risk Prevention (PRL).
- Experience in building rehabilitation.
