Atocha 8-10, Madrid, Spain

In Madrid’s Calle Atocha we performed a comprehensive rehabilitation of these two buildings by the Church of Santa Cruz. The project included the removal of structural elements, installations, and joinery along with floorings and coatings, with the complication that the floors of the two buildings were not at the same level, so we opted for a debris removal system with conveyors so as to minimize inconvenience, optimize working times, and reduce impact on this busy street. Structural reinforcements were effected with floor slab connectors and compression layers along with the replacement of damaged structural elements, and all interior coatings and finishes were applied together with a full complement of facilities, including the installation of two elevators.
