Restoration of this 19th-century building in an iconic setting for high-end housing and commercial premises. The first phase involved structural consolidation with metal reinforcement and complete replacement of structural timber frames. In the second phase the spaces were distributed with high-quality finishes and modern amenities were installed, notably including improved access in common areas, such as the hallway and inner courtyards, where wall surfaces were restored with the sgraffito technique. The central staircase ornaments and protected facades were also restored by the original craft methods, while joinery was renewed so as to optimize the building’s energy efficiency.
