Restoration of the Círculo de Bellas Artes cultural center built by the architect Antonio Palacios Ramilo, a heritage icon in the Madrid cityscape, as requested by this prestigious institution to improve the site’s state of conservation and usability. After installing new stairs for the roof terrace with a metal structure and steps, handrails, and top of structural glass, we restored the facades, tower, and courtyard. This sensitive intervention included the cleaning, consolidation, restoration, and protection of surfaces and ornamental elements according to the various facade materials and their state of preservation. Granite, Novelda limestone, plaster, exquisite details of glazed ceramics, brass, and bronze as well as a great range of joinery created by Palacios all benefited from our team’s craftsmanship.
