Palace of Versailles, France

This palace is one of the most visited historic buildings in France. The Versailles complex has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage site since 1979 and is a designated French historic monument. In this iconic ensemble our team of professionals was responsible for restoring the slate roof of the stables building (the Grandes Écuries). Zinc and lead elements of dormers were also treated, ornamental zinc items were reproduced, and gilt roof elements were replaced. Given the building’s size and complexity, a large deployment of auxiliary equipment was needed in order to access every part of the roof.
