For this property in the central Puerta del Sol in Madrid, KALAM performs the comprehensive rehabilitation for the change of use from residential to tourist apartments. On the exterior, we highlight the replacement of all the exterior carpentry and shutters for others of hardwood with thermal bridge break, as well as the replacement of interior carpentry for others of aluminum with fire resistant glass to comply with the regulations of sectorization. The flat roof is being remodeled to make it walkable. In the interior we worked on the improvement of the structure with the punctual intervention of reinforcement of the framework and slabs, and we adapted the distribution of the apartments through the replacement and creation of new partitions and renovation of all the finishing coatings. We finished the rehabilitation with the implementation of an air conditioning system based on aerothermal energy.
