Santa Cruz Museum, Toledo, Spain

The Santa Cruz Hospital is a monumental building and one of the most significant examples of Renaissance civil architecture in Spain. It currently houses a museum of Toledan cultural heritage. Commissioned by the Toledo Heritage Consortium, we restored the mural paintings on the facades of the complex, after consolidating the substrate for subsequent rendering and chromatic blending. Concealed paintings were restored with fresco paint, as was the convent portal, crowned with a relief of Saint James dating from the 16th century, and the granite was consolidated and cleaned with missing portions being replicated.
